I spotted Ten Birds by Cybele Young at the library and the books pen and ink illustrations caught my so me and the girls checked it out. When we read it before bed I was smitten with the adorable story of common sense and the inventive birds trying to get across the river.
Cybele Young is an artist who creates sculptural works from fine Japanese papers often printed from etched copper plates. Her inspirations come from fleeting day-to-day experiences while her creativity flourishes in the mundane, where small observations become fantastic.

What a precious find!
